Graduated in Psychology by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB)Catalina, obtained a scholarship to study at the Università degli Studi di Firenze (2014). In combination with the health branch (Official Master's Degree in General Health PsychologyInternational University of Valencia), has also trained in social psychology (family and women), completing the Parenting Coordination Course by the University of Girona, the Official Master's Degree in Equality and Gender Violence (UIB).

 

Experience

After graduating, Catalina continued her training in Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, and Social Psychology, complementing these with other courses and seminars related to other areas (human resources, psychology of aging and old age, grief, etc.), always trying to integrate the knowledge acquired with her professional experience, treating depression, anxiety, relationship problems, disorders, and many more, practicing as a psychologist in private practice and in the community.

Regarding her professional experience, she has worked as a psychologist for the Spanish Red Cross (Creu Roja Balears), providing support to groups (workshops) and individuals (in-person and online sessions). She has also worked for IBDona's 24-hour service as a psychologist, providing support to victims of gender-based violence, and in the area of children and families at the Punt de Trobada Familiar (Family Meeting Point) (Inca and Palma).

In the guidance sector, she has worked at the UIB Guidance Service and, in the field of research, she has collaborated on various projects on different health-related topics (dementia, patient safety, depression and lifestyle, etc.), all led by the university or by IdISBA (Balearic Islands Health Research Institute).

We can affirm that he has always combined his experience in private practice with other diverse areas of psychology, thus obtaining a broader vision of our discipline.

She is currently an Associate Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands, where he teaches the subjects of Evaluation and Diagnosis of Psychopathology in Children, Adolescents and Adults, and Professional Foundations of Health Psychology, both within the framework of the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology.
